Anchors For Your Life

Matthew 6:33 Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. (Message)

Here are some thoughts on this passage in the Message Bible.
This translation says that we are to steep our lives in some things. We should steep our lives in:
1. God -- reality
We need to realize that God and his kingdom business is the real world, so we should give first place to God's realm.
2. God -- initiative
We should ask ourselves what things what is God initiating in our lives for us to do.
And then giving priority to God's initiatives in our lives.
3. God -- provisions
Simply trust God to provide for you; look to Him as your source; not the job or the economy.
When we steep our lives in these things, you won't miss out on anything in life. Your everyday concerns, issues, and situations will be taken care of. God is more than able to care for you. Put God's business first, trust Him, and watch Him go to work in your life. Loose the reins, give up control, and let Him be the architect and conductor of your life.

Moving Forward

Just wanted to check in and give you an update about what I've been up to. Currently, I've been doing some recording on two different projects. I do my recording at my home office, which makes it very convenient.
One is an audio book. My goal is to convert the Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum level's of the Winning Track into audio books. It's a very time consuming process; but the good news is: once it's done it's done. The recording part is pretty straight forward; although it took me a minute to get used to the microphone. What takes up the most time is the editing part. But having Camell on our team to do the final edit is huge. His skills will greatly enhance the final product and make it professional.
My other project is a podcast. I used to have a podcast, but I stopped for some reason. I just recorded the first one today. Once it's finished, the link that we have on the front page of the web site will be functional.
On another note, I've been working with my team about how to find better ways to communicate the winning track process to the congregation. One of the ideas was to make sort of a news commercial on Sundays to spruce up the announcements. Exciting things are in the works. I'm really motivated right now to get things off the ground and moving forward. Key words for me and the team right now is: make it happen!

Reaching non-christians

Our job is not to make non-christians act like christians. That can't happen. Instead, live your life in such a way that non-christians will want to become christians by observing how you act.

God's Presence: A tremendous advantage

Heb. 9:11   But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. 12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

The tabernacle pattern that is described in the Old Testament was designed so that the High Priests could approach and enter the presence of God. In the New Testament, Jesus, our great High Priest entered into the heavenly Holy of Holies one time in order to pave the way for us to go directly into the presence of God. We don't have to go through an earthly High Priest anymore or an intermediary. Neither do we have to set up lampstands, golden pots, or sensors, etc. We can go directly into the presence of God through the blood of Jesus. Given this tremendous advantage we have to enter into God's presence, how often do you take advantage of it. How much time do you spend in the presence of God. Let me bring it even closer to home; how much time have you spent today in God's presence. The Old Testament pattern of the High Priests entering into God's presence, was a temporary procedure until Jesus came in the fullness of times to bring every believer into the presence of God. What a tremendous privilege, take advantage of it. Spend quality time with Him on a daily basis.
In fact, take a moment right now to talk to him, even if it's only a few words. Start by telling Him that you appreciate the privilege to spend time with Him any time you want to.

When people try 2 bring you down, it can't happen 'cause U got God; and since God is 4U, who can B against U!? Nobody! No one can successfully B arrayed against the person that God is 4. No weopon formed against U shall prosper. UR hands off as far as God is concerned. You are more than a conqueror and greater is He who is NU than whoever and whatever is he that is N the world (Romans 8:31,37; Isaiah 54:17; IJohn 4:4)!

The First, First Friday! Wow!

I am still smilin and so pumped about last night's First Friday event. It played out like I expected. I had so much fun. The band never ceases to amaze me. Pretty Floyd (named by Calvin) and the gang absolutely nailed it! I can't wait to hear them every Sunday. When they broke out with the Isley's, "For the Love of You", I was through. And Calvin! Wasn't he the ideal MC!? He was N2 it big time. Ok, it's official, the next one is June 6th!
