Tired of losing....Get Connected to a Winning Group

Here is just a really quick praise report about a gentleman that has been consistently coming to our Winning Group (Simply for the sake of not disclosing full names I am using the initials of these gentlemen's names):

B came to our church to visit us for the first time on Easter Sunday. B has been consistently attending our winning group here at Lincoln and he was so excited about what he was learning in our Winning Group that he wanted to come visit our church. He also brought his roommate to visit with him on Easter Sunday. After speaking to B, post Easter Sunday, he was delighted and thrilled to visit and fellowship with us.

God working through B, purposed for his roommate D to come, not only to come fellowship, but to come to Christ as he was one of the people that committed their life to Christ on Easter; might I add that D's religion is Buddhism, which is what he practiced in his homeland in Africa; he had not been to church in 15 full years he shared with me. I then called D and invited him to Winning Group. He came to Winning Group and after our group he expressed that he enjoyed the group and he is definitely interested in coming back. God is truly working through our ministry and through the systems that Wes, Min. Kitty, Pastor and the rest of the Summit team is consistently seeking to expand and modernize. People are tired of losing and they are seeking to Win in Life! That's what it is about!

Tomi Cardin

I (along with various members of Summit) have lead Chapel Service 6 times. Over 150 women have either received salvation or rededicated their lives to the Lord at these services. I am scheduled to lead Chapel again on February 27. Every woman who comes to Chapel is allowed the opportunity to get on the Winning Track.

I have participated in the quarterly Water Baptism 4 times. Twice I have been priviledged to lead the women in ther confirmation of Salvation and assist in their actual baptism. Over 200 women have been baptised in my presence.

I lead a weekly women's bible study on the Q Block every Wedensday evening. Each week we have no less than 10 women who participate. They get really involved in the discussions, asking questions and fellowshipping with me and eachother. We take prayer requests each week and take turns praying for each other. Each woman in attendance gains a deeper understanding of the things of God which leads to a more intimate relationship with Him. All women who attend are on the Winning Track

Each week I assist Ms. Deborah Schell with the Substance Abuse and Recovery Class. I am there every Wednesday afternoon and every other Monday afternoon. I am responsible for grading and reveiwing all assignments the women turn in. I also counsel the women one-on-one. We spend alot of time getting to know eachother and praying together. Attendance ranges between 30-40 women each week. All women are encouraged to get on the Winning Track, by me and the other women already on Track.

I am still in contact with dozens of women who have left the Allen County Jail. Some are in local half-way houses others are in prison. Many have visited Summit. Many others look forward to visiting when their movements are no longer restricted. All who have visited loved their experience at Summit. They all said they felt welcomed and genuinely loved. Many look forward to making it their Church home. Many others encourage their family members to start attending until they are able to come.

Chastity Craig ( Carolyn’s group)

Touch Groups have been a blessing to me in many ways. The most important is that I have built many new trusting friendships. My touch group leader and members have stood with me through many trails. They have been a great support in difficult times. I have learned that through prayer and faith I can stand through anything.

Antoine Taylor (Naylon's group)

When I came back from California, I was looking for employment. After applying for many jobs for a month, I was offered a position. After 1 month, I was #1 in sales. At the group, I had learned how to execute the Word by confessing the Word, meditating on scripture and praying. Not being satisfied with the pay from this job, I was offered another job at a company that was more, but not what I wanted. Because I had learned that I didn't have to settle and because of what I had been confessing, I didn't accept the job. Standing in faith, the same company offered me a job in management making almost 3x what I was making. My Dept. is #1 because of what I am learning and applying to my life. I know this happened to me because of what I learned in the group. Naylon is a good leader & mentor. He sets the tone where you feel so comfortable. It's intimate and personal where you can share from a personal perspective. I tell everyone that the best thing our ministry has to offer are the small groups.

When I first came to the group, I was jobless, but Chris and Belinda kept feeding me the Word and encouraging me by their lifestyle. They made me hungry for more and more of God's Word. Increase came to my life because of the group, and things started happening to me; All my bills were paid off by the people that I work for now. I have learned that whether I'm present at the group or not, I am connected. Through this connection, I know that I am a leader. My relationship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit has grown.

Robert & Mary Allen (Chris Wilson's group)

Since coming to the group, we have learned to handle stuff instead of stuff handling us. Our family and home life have changed for the better thanks to Chris & Belinda's group and their leadership. We have a vision for our lives, our relationship with God has grown, and doors have been opened to us with other people in the group. This has really blessed us. A deep work of God has taken place in us since coming to the group. I thank God for it.

Maria Diaz - (Chris Wilson's group)

I felt for the first time that even though I'm from a different country, we all serve the same God of our Lord Jesus. This group is great for all mankind. I thank God for people like this. In this group, I felt like people and I were one family. Even if they didn't speak my original language, I still felt the love of God.
